Petzl – William Ball-Lock – HMS Carabiner

The William Ball Lock by Petzl provides an additional degree of safety! The carabiner is equipped with the ball lock closure. By this design principle, you can see at a glance whether the carabiner is secured correctly. The carabiner is only safely locked when the little green dot on the sleeve is visible. The William Ball Lock is opened by pressing the green button. The HMS carabiner is thereby more secure than other auto-lock carabiners.Thanks to its classic pear shape, the carabiner is best suited to being secured with a Munter hitch, but can also be combined with belay devices. The design combines its light weight with high breaking loads and excellent handling. The key lock system prevents snagging on bolts or dogbones – that’s what an all-round well thought out HMS looks like!
